Responsibilities:
-Must have Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and record patients' vital signs - Conduct patient assessments and document medical history - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Perform basic dental procedures under the supervision of the dentist - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems (such as Epic) - Ensure infection control protocols are followed at all times Skills:
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and developing them - Knowledge of dental systems and terminology - Ability to accurately assess patients' vital signs - Familiarity with medical documentation and record keeping - Experience in assisting with dental procedures - Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Epic - Strong understanding of infection control practices in a dental setting - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members Note:
